The Bahawalpur set of stamps were printed from 1947 after the partition of India in 1947 until about 1953. The state was absorbed into Pakistan in 1947, but stamps were issued for internal use until 1953. It is very rare to find postally used stamps from Bahawalpur.

There is an overprint set issued on stamps of India in 1947. You will be lucky to ever see this set, and I don't have one to show you. So the stamps you will see are from the later sets as well as some Official issues which were overprinted on revenue stamps. Notice the color changes and shades of some of the issues as they can be elusive.
