The St. Lucia King George VI stamps were printed from 1938 until about 1952. There were two sets created during this time period, a 1938 set, and a 1949 set which was required due to currency changes. Three printers were involved in the production: Bradbury, Wilkinson; De La Rue; and Waterlow and Sons. Unlike many other King George VI sets, the St. Lucia 1938 set has never been heavily collected. So it is relatively inexpensive and easily obtained.

The pages were created using information presented by W. J. W. Potter & Lt. Col. R. C. M. Shelton in their "The Printings of King George VI Colonial Stamps" which was published by Stamp Collecting Ltd. in December, 1952. The publication listed tables for each of the countries' issues that were included. The listings of "BKxx" were created to tie into the Potter & Shelton listings. The intent was to identify the Commonwealth catalogued stamps that actually fit the characteristics of the specific printing. At that time Bridger & Kay published the catalogue, so I used their initials. The relevant Gibbons and Scott numbers are shown in the listings below.
