The Transjordan set of stamps showing Emir Abdullah were printed in several formats and with various overprints and perforations from 1927 until about 1952. During the course of this issue, there were numerous perforation and design changes. It was also overprinted for two likely philatelic purposes, and for a currency change that resulted in multiple colored overprints - some of which are very difficult to find.

In addition to the Abdullah series, there were several commemorative issues and a complete set of obligatory tax issues to raise money for the resettlement of the Palestinians after the state of Israel was proclaimed. A currency change resulted in some overprints and finally the tax stamps were overprinted POSTAGE and were available for use. So this tends to quickly become a pretty complex state for study.
